Whether you're here from my book How to Edit Your Own Novel, from my socials, or by chance, I'm very excited to share with you the very spreadsheet I use to outline all of my novels.

First, here's an example of how I use the chapter outline (including spoilers for my upcoming contemporary romance, Laws of Attraction!). Notice that it's rough, and simple. This isn't meant to be an exact account of everything that happens, and it isn't something to 'perfect'. An outline exists as a resource to help authors navigate their books in whichever way works best for them:
