Where did All Write come from?

Welcome to my brand-new marketing business! Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to read my first blog post.

I have some great content coming - I'll be blogging about writing and editing tips, social media hacks, and updates on my business. But first, I want to introduce myself and All Write!


Who is Poppy Solomon?

That's me! You can check out my LinkedIn page for all the facts, but here's the story:

I grew up on the Sunshine Coast, Australia, and graduated university in 2018 with a Bachelor of Communication. While I studied, I volunteered as a newsletter writer, completed several internships, and even had a study abroad semester in New York! I then spent much of 2019 in the UK and did some marketing work before returning to Australia.

After living in, experiencing, and travelling several countries over the last four years, I gained perspective. I developed an appreciation for different cultures and their communication methods, and a 'bigger picture' attitude.

While others struggled to reach their audience and see their needs, I found it easier to see how specific people communicated and understood their perspectives. I knew that every country, every town or city, every generation, and every person had their own language, and I saw the importance of this in the marketing world.

So, what's All Write?

All Write is a business built from my background in marketing and journalism. I have a unique perspective and skill set - although I studied journalism and have lots of experience with writing, most of my work experience has been in marketing and communications. I also grew up as the online world expanded and social media became popular - the digital space has always been a natural part of my life.

Although I enjoyed all of my work experience, I found that I worked far better when I picked up freelance work. Being able to work on projects that excited me, without the distractions of offices, bosses and the inflexibility of 9-5 work, made me more productive. The work I produced was far better!

With experience in several industries and countries, I knew I had the ability to identify audiences, create unique content for them, and utilise digital platforms in a way that actually reached them. I realised that becoming a freelancer and building my own business was the right move.

All Write isn't just a really clever copywriting pun. It's how I want my clients to feel when they hand over work to me. All right. These things shouldn't be stressful. Working with me shouldn't feel like a chore. It should be a relief, and a knowledge that the hard work is in the right hands.

I value honesty, flexibility and time in every aspect of my life. Yes, I'm organised and never miss deadlines. But, I also appreciate feedback, spontaneity and creativity. All Write is a business based on finding the bridge between businesses and their audiences. It's about working together to create content that you and I, but most importantly your audience, loves!
